How to prescribe supersets from top loads
Top-load programs stay useful when coaches write supersets from those loads—not when every heavy set ends with vague keep moving notes.

Start from the assigned top or working load
A useful superset prescription starts after the top or working load is already written. Read that load for the main lift, then decide which A/B pairing clients should run, how short the between-exercise rest stays, and how many rounds follow. This is a reading method for building the density rule clients open—not software evaluation of complex-pair tools that mainly write main-plus-complementary pairs with pair order, not contrast-set tools that mainly write heavy-light pairs on the same pattern, and not an overload chart that still leaves the A/B pairing blank.
Keep A/B pairings and short rest explicit
If the only plan after the top set is keep moving somehow, insert the A/B pairing, short between-exercise rest, and round count so productive density work does not turn into unstructured rushing. Prefer readable superset instructions over vague keep-moving notes. Ignore the urge to rewrite accessories and session order when only the main-lift density rule needs an update.
Write the superset rule on the program before the session
Even a clean superset rule fails if clients still open a bare top load. Put the A/B pairing, short between-exercise rest, and round count beside the top or working load on the assigned program, and note which load drove the prescription so next review can judge whether the density still fits.
Keep the Lyfta nudge natural
