How to prescribe myo-reps from top loads
Top-load programs stay useful when coaches write myo-rep activation sets and short mini-sets from those loads—not when every set ends with vague keep-grinding notes.

Start from the assigned top or working load
A useful myo-rep prescription starts after the top or working load is already written. Read that load for the main lift, then decide the activation set clients should complete and how many short mini-sets follow at that load or a small planned drop, plus the brief rest between mini-sets. This is a reading method for building the myo-rep sequence clients open—not software evaluation of rest-pause tools, and not a planned cluster-set rule that still leaves the activation set blank.
Keep the activation set and mini-sets explicit
If the only plan after the top set is keep grinding after a breath, insert an activation target, mini-set counts, and short rests so productive volume does not turn into unstructured pauses. Prefer readable myo-rep instructions over vague keep-grinding notes. Ignore the urge to rewrite accessories and session order when only the main-lift myo-rep rule needs an update.
Write the myo-rep sequence on the program before the session
Even a clean myo-rep rule fails if clients still open a bare top load. Put the activation set and mini-sets beside the top or working load on the assigned program, and note which load drove the prescription so next review can judge whether the rests and mini-sets still fit.
